I have been working as a counsellor since I qualified in 1999. I am an integrative counsellor: this means that I am well acquainted with the theory and practice of different orientations, but my focus is on what the client brings at any given time. This can be anything from early childhood to current difficulties. I find they often are related.
I aim to agree with the client the direction and focus of the therapy, whether it is to explore deep conflict or more urgent issues. I always offer open ended contracts, this can be short or long term. I work with adults and teenagers.
I have regular and frequent supervision to protect the clients and ensure professional and ethical integrity.
